Founder​

  • Created a network by and for chronically ill and disabled students in STEM and the social sciences

  • Providing advice and resources to make navigating academia more accessible as a chronically ill or disabled person by sourcing research and grant opportunities, tutoring and proofreading services, templates for informing supervisors of accessibility needs, and field-specific reading lists

  • Hosting two events monthly, one focusing on academia and the other on community

  • Overseeing the Journal's functionality and providing assistance at bi-annual meetings

  • Leading a board of academics working in the field and maintain relationships between the Journal and the academic world

Muriel Spark Biography Project                                  2019 - present

Archivist​

  • Working with Dr Dan Gunn to transcribe, digitise, and catalogue hundreds of letters to and from Scottish author Muriel Spark, her loved ones, and her contemporaries

  • Undertaking independent, investigative research to enhance the collection, such as identifying the exact or near-exact dates of hundreds of undated letters using context clues and design and materials analysis

  • Scanning, photographing, or otherwise creating digital copies of these letters, and labeling those which I feel should be included in the final book

  • Deciphering different handwritings, shorthand, and various pre-modern stylistic conventions

  • Fine-tuning my understanding of digital and physical scholarship as well as the handling and preservation of archive materials

Linguistics Intern

  • ​Researched for, wrote, and expanded Wikipedia pages for six Jewish diaspora languages

  • Worked with scholar Dr. Habib Borijan (Columbia University) as part of the Jewish Languages Project

  • Brainstormed ideas and created graphics for social media platforms with a total following of over 150k

  • Copyedited cohort members’ online publications, such as dictionaries for their language​

Speech Data Annotator

  • Created usable data to train AI for automatic speech alignment by segmenting and annotating ~150 minutes of English and French speech data using Speech Graphics’ unique Praat-like software

  • Worked in a team of 3 to develop best practices for annotation

  • Preserved the history of ULAB as an organisation by building an archive from the very first conference in 2011 where there did not exist one before

  • Contacted past ULAB committee members or presenters for any material they may have 

  • Uncovered lists of past committee members, conference programmes, presentation slides, ULAB constitutions, and conference proceedings to compile into a working digital archive
